Skin Care During Pregnancy*

The short version of a long talk with Jennifer Cherry, President of Nutraceutics, on her own experience with Relastyl and both of her pregnancies:

Jennifer never got stretch marks, and people can't believe she's had two kids. If you are pregnant, Relastyl is a wonderful product. Best to use as soon as the body begins showing expansion. Apply the product after the morning shower and before bed at night. The key is to apply it liberally. Some women may still get stretch marks, but these should be minimal.

Jennifer Recommends continued use of Relastyl with this protocol from the start of growth through the fourth month after delivery. Relastyl stimulates collagen production, something very necessary as the skin works to get itself back together again, following delivery.

In addition to the pelvic area, women need to consider the breasts and the lateral aspects of the body from the waist to the mid thighs. These areas tear, and can be very visible. Use of Relastyl, especially where the breasts arch on top, but also underneath, will keep the breast skin from tearing.

Editor’s Note: One noted aesthetician once confided with the editor that women with breast tears become self conscious and never feel comfortable in a bathing suit, or perhaps in being intimate. One bad pregnancy with skin tears and the damage is life-long. While Relastyl is an exceptional long term skin care remedy, it is especially beneficial during pregnancy.
