Sunscreen Causes Vitamin D Deficiency
The health pundits and the Media have brainwashed society into accepting the mantra that we need to avoid direct sunlight. We are told, “Don’t go outside without your sunscreen.” The problem is that sunscreen blocks the formation of vitamin D in the skin by preventing the sun’s rays from doing their beneficial work. The sun-blocking chemicals in sunscreen contribute to the depletion of vitamin D stores in our bodies, consequently contributing to the silent epidemic discussed by Dr. Kuhne. Our skin needs direct sunlight. It also needs protection from the sun, but not the kind of protection that stops vitamin D production by the skin. So, nix the sunscreen!
